alex got me back the saved records on the OAK-U-TRON – the text files that contain the height players reached on move-in day and the locations of previous keep me occupied players who’ve left their avatars behind to help everyone else. over the course of the day, people reached a height of 1515 feet, with 42 helpers manning almost all of the switches up to the 1500 feet mark, including shortcut switches. these are switches that require a player to turn around, to make a conscious decision not to try to get as high as possible in favor of helping out future players. naturally, i was happy to see that some people had made that decision.
