i fell in love with the majesty of colors is a new game by gregory weir of the ludus novus podcast, a story told in a number of scenes that the player can resolve in a number of ways using the one ability available to the protagonist.
it reminds me of daniel benmergui’s i wish i were the moon, in which the player similiarly manipulates a scene with essential two verbs (pick up and drop) to reach several different resolutions, and in which the player is encouraged to continue fiddling until she’s found all of the endings. what i particularly like about i wish is the effortless, expositionless way the characters’ different desires are established.
having brought up i wish i were the moon, i’m obliged to mention another of benmergui’s creations, the storyteller. emily short can tell you about that one.

Benmergui was definitely one of my inspirations for the game.
Odd that the tentacle is perfectly pixelated but the eyes rotate rather crudely.
Why do indie games have to have such faggoty-ass names
To make them easy to find in Google. DUH
