i made a klik n play game for klik of the month, what the hell.
one-sided conversation is silent conversation but instead of a never-ending lovecraft story it features the monologue of a spam bot. gregory weir is a cool dude but silent conversation doesn’t really add anything to the experience of reading but tedium (and “race mode,” i guess), though i like the idea of language as game landscape, since the landscape of a videogame is an abstraction. i think paolo pedercini’s ergon / logos treates the concept more effectively.
other games this month: cat factory is one of those super-demanding jumping games, but there’s something really neat about seeing the entire game on the screen at once. and missile lover reminds me of time pilot. it is a game about taking missiles home with you. and hoopbus is a game about busses with basketball hoops.

I liked Silent Conversation, and I also liked it primarily for the Lovecraft bits, which were the least popular bits. WHAT NOW?
this was stellar, i actually laughed out loud when i saw that my avatar was navigating “columbus ohio.”
Ah, didn’t realise it was a parody.
jaz, the only way to resolve this is obviously to have a twenty post back-and-forth argument in caps on the internet.
NO
I THINK THAT HAVING AN ARGUMENT IN CAPS ON THE INTERNET WON’T STOP ANYTHING, AND I WON’T STOP THINKING THAT UNTIL YOU START THINKING IT TOO
SO THERE
We could always learn to accept our differing opinions.
(snigger)
This is hilarious, Silent Conversation was a terrible game
